Hua Hin (TH)
Hua Hin Night Market, known locally as Talat Toh Rung Hua Hin, runs along Dechanuchit Road in the centre of town, a few hundred metres north of the old railway station. It is the town's longest-running night market and the first stop for many visitors on their first evening.
Stalls sell clothes, crafts and souvenirs, but the food is the main event: open-fronted seafood restaurants display fresh prawns, crab and fish on ice, and street vendors sell grilled skewers, fruit and desserts. It fills up after dark and has a lively, holiday feel.
What to order
- Grilled river prawns or squid, chosen from the ice display
- Pla kapong neung manao: whole sea bass steamed with lime and chilli
- Hoy tod: crispy mussel or oyster omelette
- Mango sticky rice from the dessert stalls
Good to know
- Stalls start opening around 17:00 to 18:00 and most wind down between 23:00 and midnight.
- Check prices by weight at seafood stalls before ordering.
- It is walkable from most central hotels and from Hua Hin railway station.
