Michelin Star

These are the places on this site that hold at least one Michelin star in the current Michelin Guide Thailand. They range from a street-side wok station to tasting-menu dining rooms serving Thai food at its most refined.

Jay Fai, the Bangkok cook famous for her crab omelette and drunken noodles, was one of the first street food vendors anywhere to receive a star. Others here, such as Sorn with its southern Thai tasting menu, Le Du and Saneh Jaan, show how far modern Thai cooking has come.

Stars are reviewed every year. Each place page gives its current status, opening hours, booking advice and what to order, and is updated when the guide changes.

Starred restaurants in Bangkok usually need booking weeks ahead, often online with a deposit, and most serve set tasting menus at fixed sittings. Jay Fai is the exception: there is no menu to book, so arrive early, put your name on the list and expect to wait.
