Restaurants Northern Thailand
Chiang Mai (TH)
Tong Tem Toh is a lively northern Thai restaurant on Nimmanhaemin Soi 13, with dark wooden tables, outdoor seating and misting fans. Drinks come in traditional metal cups.
It is one of the most popular places in Nimman for Lanna food that is approachable without being watered down. The charcoal grill is the main event in the evening, while chilli dips, curries and sausages are available all day.
Expect a queue at dinner, especially in the cool season. The pace is fast and prices are reasonable for the area.
