From street vendors to family-run restaurants, discover where locals eat

These are restaurants, street food stalls and markets in Thailand that are worth planning a trip around: Michelin-starred dining rooms, shophouses that have cooked one dish for decades, and the markets where Thai cooks buy their herbs, curry pastes and fruit.

Each page gives the address and a map, opening hours where they could be confirmed, a price level from one to four baht signs, what to order and practical tips on queues, booking and payment. Michelin awards are taken from the current guide, and older awards are marked as former ones. Small stalls change their hours often, so check before making a special journey.
