Nusara is the more personal project of chef Thitid "Ton" Tassanakajohn and his brother Chaisiri "Tam", named after their late grandmother and drawing on family recipes. The evening starts with snacks on a softly lit rooftop facing Wat Pho before guests move down to a small olive-green and gold dining room.
It was promoted to one Michelin star in the 2026 guide and has ranked in the top ten of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, debuting at number three in 2023. The menu is classic Thai cooking given a refined, modern finish.
What to order
- Welcome bites on the rooftop with the Wat Pho view
- Thai Wagyu stir-fried with holy basil: a menu signature
- A quartet of regional relishes served with rice and vegetables
- The full tasting menu, which changes over the year
Good to know
- Seating is very limited, so book well in advance.
- Arrive on time to enjoy the rooftop course in the evening light.
- It is in the old town near Tha Tien pier, so combine it with an evening boat ride.
